If you've ever driven across Missouri with a dog in the back seat, you know the routine: scroll through hotel listings, find one that says "pet friendly," book it, and then discover at check-in that pet friendly means a $75 nonrefundable cleaning fee, the room is on the third floor at the end of a long hallway, and the only walking patch is the parking lot island.
We don't run that kind of operation. Westbridge Inn & Suites in Carrollton, MO is genuinely pet-friendly, and we're transparent about how it works.
The actual policy

Where to walk the dog
There's a grassy strip along the south side of the property — bagging stations included. For a longer walk, the side roads off US-65 are quiet, mostly low-traffic, and there's a small park in town about five minutes by car. Van Meter State Park (35 minutes south) is a great half-day trip if you've got a dog who needs to run.
The neighbors are dog people
We get a lot of repeat dog guests — utility crews who travel with a working dog, hunters heading to Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge during waterfowl season, retirees doing the seasonal migration. The staff knows them by name. We've kept biscuits in a jar at the front desk since 2019.
Bringing a service animal?
